Colorado

You know you live in Western Colorado . . .

if you have to drive 100 to the mall, Sam's club, and Old Navy

if the grocery store doesn't open until 8 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m.

if your chances of getting an epidural are less the 20% because you are last on the list of importance :) and because there is no anthologist even there in the middle of the night

if your friends husband's are cowboys . . . no really they are ranchers for their livelihood

if you just got high speed internet, because it's wasn't even available before

if your stake extends state boundaries and you have to get a hotel room to go to stake conference

if you live in the boon docks and still pay a premium for; gas $4.48, milk $4.28, and Costco in Vail has a 12% sales tax

if the post office is never busy

if your run to the gas station to get milk and “a few other things you need”

if the phone company doesn’t offer call waiting ID

if the closest movie theater is 45 min. away

if everyone calls a John Deere tractor the lawn mower

if all the famers that live around you swear the end is near and you had better get your year supply (which gets really annoying)

if there are so many other inconveniences in your life you can’t name them all

What fun Western Colorado is! I am beginning to understand though. Living on an island has many of the same disadvantrages. At least we both live in beautiful country!!
